About

Jesse Francis is a landscape architect based in Nashville, Tennessee, whose work focuses on creating outdoor environments that are attractive, practical and environmentally responsible. With experience spanning residential and commercial landscape projects, Jesse is known for his thoughtful planning, calm approach and ability to translate client ideas into well-designed spaces.

Born in Nashville in March 1991, Jesse grew up in the suburbs outside the city in a family that valued craftsmanship, education and community. His father, Kevin Francis, worked in residential construction and regularly involved Jesse in small improvement projects. These experiences taught him patience, planning and the importance of paying attention to details. His mother, Linda Francis, worked in education and encouraged his creative interests in drawing, architecture and design.

Jesse pursued college studies in landscape architecture and environmental design. During his education, he developed skills in site planning, plant selection, sustainability, construction principles, design software, project management and client communication. Internships provided practical exposure to both residential and commercial projects.

He began his career as a landscape designer in 2013, assisting with concepts, presentations, material selections and project coordination. In 2017, he advanced to a senior landscape designer position, where he led larger projects, managed client relationships and mentored junior designers. Since 2022, Jesse has worked as a landscape architect, overseeing projects from initial concept through construction and completion.

Jesse believes successful landscape architecture is about more than appearance. A well-designed outdoor space should support how people live, gather, work and relax while responding thoughtfully to the surrounding environment.

Outside of his profession, Jesse enjoys gardening, hiking, camping, fishing, woodworking, reading and home improvement. He lives with his wife, Emily, and their son, Liam, and values family time, local traditions and the natural beauty of Tennessee.
